Background
Dr. Luca was raised in Michigan, earning her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Grand Valley State University. She moved to Boston for dental school and graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine with her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. During her training, she found a passion for disease prevention and growth and development which led her to pursue further training in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Luca completed her residency training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University, earning her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Master’s in Science. During her training, Dr. Luca was nominated and chosen as resident of the year from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and won third place at the national research competition for her thesis on The Environmental Footprint of Pediatric Caries.
Continuing Education and Professional Organizations
Dr. Luca is certified in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is a dedicated dentist with a passion for pursuing continuing education to master the art of preventative and restorative care for children. She is a member of the American Dental Education Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Practice Philosophy
As a dentist who is passionate about dentistry, prevention, and education, Dr. Luca loves the idea of creating a dental home for families. She is excited to be a part of each patient's lives to ensure the oral tissues are healthy, in addition to overall health topics such as diet, sleep, and monitoring overall growth and development. Dr Luca’s passion for health encompasses oral health and how it relates to overall health. Her practice of dentistry involves ensuring that we utilize resources now without compromising the resources of the future. She enjoys sharing her excitement about sustainable healthcare and speaks nationally on the topic.
Personal
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Luca enjoys an active lifestyle. An avid pickleball player and fitness instructor, she enjoys being outdoors and hiking adventures. This summer, she celebrated the start of her marriage and the arrival of a new member into her family—a vibrant black lab named Ellie, who's always eager to greet and make new friends.
