Dr. Colton Fowlkes was born and raised in Cumming, GA. Dr. Colton attended the University of Georgia, where he graduated with majors in biology and psychology while partaking in multiple activities on campus, including serving as the University of Georgia's mascot: Hairy Dawg.
Dr. Colton attended dental school at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, graduating near the top of his class and serving as class president. After dental school, Dr. Colton completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at the Charlie Norwood VA in Augusta, GA, where he gained specialized knowledge and training in complex oral surgery procedures and treating medically complex patients while serving the states' veteran population and the Augusta State Medical Prison.
During his years in private practice, Dr. Colton quickly realized that his heart and purpose was to be treating children. As a member of the inaugural pediatric dental residency class at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Dr. Colton learned an immense amount during his time at Children's, including completing full-mouth pediatric dental rehabilitation, treating medically complex patients, managing emergency dental cases, acquiring pediatric behavior guidance skills, and practicing conservative pediatric dentistry.
